Cheapest Ford F-150 Lightning Not Available For Customers To Buy
The 2024 Ford F-150 Lightning order books recently opened with lower pricing than expected. That’s the good news. The bad news is that the Pro trim, which was the most affordable version of this electric truck, is no longer available for consumers to order.
This trim was still available to everyone for the 2023 model year, but for 2024, the Pro is open exclusively for commercial and government orders. Pricing for the Pro is $54,995, which is $5,000 more than last year, but still far less than the next trim in the lineup.
That trim would be the XLT standard range, and it starts at $62,995, which is $2,000 less than expected but still a lot more than the Pro. With sales of the Lightning down and production reduced, eliminating the most affordable trim for consumers is a bit surprising, but you may still be able to get your hands on one.

And there’s actually more value across the Lightning lineup.
There are some Pros sitting on dealer lots. Those you can walk right in and buy, but they can’t be customized. What’s there is what you get. Considering the money you could save, not being able to customize your Pro might not be much of a sacrifice.
Unfortunately, the Pro is only available with the standard-range battery. The same is true of the XLT, which is now the base version that can be ordered. If your list of must-haves includes an extended-range battery, then you need to dig even deeper into your wallet for the new Flash trim.
The Flash starts at $67,995, which is $5,500 less than expected and well below the $84,995 sticker for the top Platinum. The federal government makes those prices even easier to manage. The Lightning is still eligible for a $7,500 EV tax credit, so there’s a little relief there to make budgeting easier.
