Ford Mustang Receives Aesthetic Upgrades From Air Design

There are off-road kits for the Ranger as well, all shown as the SEMA Show.

With the S650 generation Ford Mustang now in the hands of owners, aftermarket companies have started offering body kits to add a touch of uniqueness to the muscle car. Air Design is one of those, and the California-based company showcased its parts for the Mustang, as well as off-road kits for theRanger.

Let’s start with theMustang first. At the front, Air Design offers a front lip spoiler for $325, which can be matched with an air curtain set for $175. On the sides, owners can choose between a quarter window louver set for $399 and a quarter window scoop set for $369. The former should give the pony car a classic muscle car appeal reminiscent of the classic Mustang Mach 1.

At the back, there’s the rear applique for $495, the roof spoiler for $369, and the deck spoiler for $389. All of the said equipment looks subtle but should help enhance the sporty nature of the vehicle.

No performance upgrades could be seen in the product range. But for owners who are looking for more oomph, Ford Performance brought a supercharger kit at the SEMA Show as well. It’s a 3.0-liter Whipple Supercharger kit that pushes the Coyote V8 to 800 horsepower – about the same as the most extreme road-legal ‘Stang, the Mustang GTD.

Moving to the Ford Ranger, Air Design offers a front bumper guard for $649, a fender flare set for $659, a hoop scoop with a grille for $375, a door rocker panel set for $349, and a tailgate applique for $349. The more affordable options in the package include a tailgate spoiler for $249, a cab spoiler for $200, and a fender vent set for $189.

But of course, the first step before acquiring the kits is to own one of the two vehicles. The entry-level model of the Mustang is priced at $30,920, while the Ranger starts at $32,565.
