It looks rather good, don’t you think?
Thailand is always pushing the boundaries of aftermarket vehicle styling, and the remarkable unique Ranger you see before you proves that not all tuner efforts to improve an OEM design are poorly executed.
TTN Hypersport has given the midsize truck a new look by grafting a Bronco front end to the Ranger. The company says this unique upgrade can be fitted to the standard variant and the Raptor. Aside from a new grille and headlights, it would appear TTN Hypersport has reshaped the hood and front fenders for a more homogenous look.
Paired with the flared fenders, chunky off-road tires, and rugged front bumper, the result is fantastic: it’s the Bronco pickup truck we never got but wanted, and it looks good enough to have come from the factory.
According to the builder, the kit costs around $4,200 (for a 2015 Ranger) and doesn’t require any cutting of the stock bodywork. It appears the lightning system remains unchanged and connects to the new Bronco headlights. Customers can also opt for custom wheel packages, although this carries an extra cost.
TTN Automotive will soon introduce the Bronco front end for the Everest, the Ranger-based SUV not sold in the United States. A prototype is in the works and looks rather good – especially with the aggressive-looking off-road accessories.
Here in the United States, a Japanese company called FLEX Automotive has created a retro front fascia for the third-generation Tacoma. Unlike the Ranger seen here – which adopts a modern front end – the Toyota receives an old-school front end that resembles a classic Land Cruiser or a ’70s Hilux, showing that mixing design eras can work in several ways.
TTN Hypersport’s Bronco conversion is the closest Ford customers will get to a true Gladiator rival. While Jeep fans enjoy a rugged and adventurous pickup truck with retro styling cues, Blue Oval fans must make do with the Maverick, Ranger, or F-150.
The Bronco truck was supposed to debut in 2024 but was canned at the last minute with little explanation. That’s a real shame, as it would have been an absolute joy to pilot off-road, particularly in Raptor guise. Perhaps the idea will be revisited in the future, but in the meantime, we must make do with the Ranger Raptor to compensate for the lack of a Bronco pickup.
